PATRICIA SPRINGBORN

Patricia Kathyrn Springborn, 74, passed away peacefully surrounded by her children on April 30th, 2025, at Evergreen Retirement Community in Oshkosh Wisconsin.

Pat was born in New London, Wisconsin on October 27th, 1950. She was the oldest daughter of eight children, born to the late Richard & Jeanette McDaniel.

Pat retired in November of 2014, finally able to rest the body that had worked so diligently to support her family from an early age. In her lifetime she worked hard at each & every role she occupied. Some roles included helping her parents by working in various positions at their restaurants, the Pizza Parlor, and the Pizza Place, where many memories were made. A few other roles were being a server at other restaurants including the Merrimac, lovingly caring for other people's children, working in a meat department, being a machine operator, and even selling Avon back in the day. She took pride in everything she did throughout her life.

If you were to ask Pat what her greatest and proudest accomplishments were, she would tell you in a heartbeat, her five children. She had always wanted to be a mom, and she loved each of them to her core. She was their best friend, their courage, their strength, their support when needed, and she was even their critic as needed and so much more. She showed them how to love, how to live life to the fullest, and especially to laugh along the way.

Pat loved having an Irish heritage. She cherished the memory of her Irish Grandpa Mac playing the fiddle in the kitchen and attended many Irish festivals with family. You could look around her home and see the many items of Irish memorabilia. Her latest token was a beautiful quilt made from Irish slogan t-shirts which her newest daughter-in-law recently made. Imagine Pat's smile when she saw it.

Pat had many hobbies over her lifetime which included sewing, reading, crafting, painting on woodwork, baking, and camping. She was known as the “Rubbermaid queen” amongst her camping family due to having anything one would need in one of the bins that were hauled in her truck. All five of her children have a love for camping now, which stems from her love of being outdoors. She also crocheted numerous beautiful afghans, those blankets covered her own babies, the newest family members babies, and many newly married couples; every stitch made with love.

A funeral service will be held at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Menasha at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 20th, 2025. The memorial visitation will occur prior to the service, starting at 9:00 AM until time of service. Burial will follow the service at Oak Hill Cemetery, Neenah. Please join us for a celebration of Pat's life at Batley's; feel free to come as you are.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to the local animal shelter to assist in adopting elderly animals in Pat's name.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center - Neenah, Evergreen Retirement Center, and Compassus Hospice service.

Mom has now added her chair to the card table with her mom, dad, and brothers Mike, Mark, & Steve. We are sure they are enjoying her contagious laugh. We are curious if she is up there asking others if they like Jello shots, wink, wink. (Boy did she make tasty ones!)

Pat is survived by a large loving family including her five children: Bryan (Ann) Springborn, Kim (Jon) Najdowski, Kevin Springborn, Pete (Kate) Springborn, and Shawn (Becky) Springborn. Her grandchildren: Chantell (Jake) King, Jacob (Kacie) Olsen, Ethan Springborn, Harper Springborn, Wrenley Springborn, and Eisen Springborn. Pat had the pleasure of also being a great grandmother to Kali Olsen, Lucas Olsen, Jaxson Olsen, and Hazel King. Lastly survived by, her adorable cat, Danny boy. We are the lucky ones that were surrounded by her love & compassion throughout our lives.

Mom, we thank you for being an example of love, faith, strength, dignity, and grace. Know you are loved & will be deeply missed. Until we meet again.
