JAYNE OTTO

Jayne L. Otto, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, was received into the arms of God on May 9, 2025.

Born March 23, 1940, Jayne lived a life full of warmth, creativity, and unwavering dedication to her family. In 1959 she married the love of her life, Thomas R. Otto. Together, they built a life centered on hard work, love, and family.

Jayne's early career began with the Aid Association for Lutherans, before she joined her mother, Evelyn, working as a waitress at Skalls Restaurant in Appleton. There, her warm and welcoming presence made her a favorite among customers, including many Green Bay Packers players. Later, Jayne played an essential role in helping Thomas run his business, “Tom Otto Heating and Cooling”, demonstrating her tireless work ethic and dedication to their shared success. 

Her greatest joy, however, was her family. Jayne was fiercely protective and endlessly supportive of all her children's and grandchildren's endeavors. A lifelong fan of sports, she was always there to cheer them on at their sporting events, never missing a game or a performance. Her daughters, Cindy and Becky, were both talented figure skaters, while her sons, Greg and Joel, played ice hockey. Jayne was instrumental in directing the annual ice show at the Tri County Ice Arena, where her energy and enthusiasm brought joy to the entire community.

Jayne had a determined spirit and never gave up. She will be remembered for her big heart, her vibrant spirit, and her unwavering devotion to her family. She leaves behind a legacy of love and strength. She will be deeply missed.

Jayne is survived by her children: Cindy Otto-Koehn; Gregory (Petra) Otto; Becky (Christopher) Green; and Joel Otto; her grandchildren: Callie, Sophia, Piper, Thomas, Keller, Drew, Klaus, and Ramsey; great-grandchildren: Louisa and Murphy; and by her sister, Karen (Roger) Ulrich. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews. Jayne was preceded in death by her husband, Tom; grandson, Tylor Koehn; and by her brother, Wayne Holmes.

Per Jayne's request, private family services were held. She has been laid to rest alongside Tom at Oak Hill Cemetery.
