Dawn Crooks

Dawn Marie Crooks, age 60, passed away on Friday, December 12, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Hospital, in Appleton. She was born on November 9, 1965, at Theda Clark Hospital, in Neeah, daughter of Ruth Ann (Wolf) and the late Robert L. Crooks.

 Dawn graduated from Fox Valley Lutheran High School with the class of 1984. She worked in different fields until she had to retire due to bad health. Dawn loved going to concerts while she was able to. She belonged to a choral group and had a beautiful voice. Dawn also enjoyed her collection of dophins.

 Dawn was a member of Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Appleton. She suffered, bravely, for 40 years, with MS, the last 11 years in a wheelchair. Through it all she kept her beautiful smile.

 Survivors include her daughter, Meghan Crooks, Appleton; mother, Ruth Ann Crooks; and brother, Jeff Crooks, both of Neenah; special cousins: Julie Brown, Berwyn, IL, Jim Heubner, Brookfield, IL, and Cindy Smith, of Darboy.

 Dawn was preceded in death by her infant brother, Brian; an infant sister, Dana Lynn; grandfather, Vincent Crooks; and grandmother, Emma Wolf. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM at Oak Hill Cemetery in Neenah, on Wednesday, December 17, 2025.

 Peach, I will miss you and your big hugs.

 Mama, you will always be in my heart, and I’m glad you don’t have to suffer anymore. Thank you for doing the best you could for me, and now be able to watch over me. Your peanut loves you.
