DOROTHY HYDE

Dorothy Jessie Hyde, age 95, passed away at Sterling House of Neenah on August 27, 2013. She was born in Shawano, WI on March 25, 1918. When she was a young girl she moved with her family to Doty Island in Neenah. She happily lived there all her life until moving to Sterling House when she was 90. Dorothy began attending St. Pauls Lutheran Church as soon as she moved to Neenah walking to church every Sunday, even in weather that really did not permit it, until she was 89. She graduated from Neenah High School. She worked at Kimberly-Clark and retired from George Banta Co. She was a member of their Quarter Century Club. After her retirement she enjoyed traveling to many states and to other countries with relatives. She always had a fruit and vegetable garden and many flowers surrounding her house. She most enjoyed spending time with her family and was especially close to her five sisters and her niece Sandy. Dorothy will always be remembered as a kind and loving person to her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her. Dorothy is survived by her daughter Patricia Hyde, son Forrest Hyde (special friend Leni Hagen), grandchildren Keely Hyde, Matthew (Katie) Hyde, great-grandchildren Hayley Roberts, Nicholas Hyde and Lauren Hyde. She is further survived by two sisters June Sahotsky and Phyllis Sahotsky as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Herbert and Rose Rymer, two brothers Ralph Rymer and Boyd Rymer, three sisters Ruth Schreiber, Ella OBright and Marie Petersdorff. There will be no formal service. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Neenah. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the Sterling House staff, past and present, for their care and kindness in giving her a home away from home. A special thank you to Juanita Howe, a member of St. Pauls, who came faithfully to Sterling House all those years to give Dorothy communion and to Asera Care Hospice staff for their compassion and care to ease her passing.
