CARITA WILLIAMS

Carita C. Williams, age 88, of Neenah, passed away peacefully of natural causes on Monday, February 28, 2022, at home. Carita was born in Neenah on July 10, 1933, daughter of the late Gustav and Alice Blank.

On February 19, 1955 Carita married Robert (Bob) Williams at Trinity Lutheran Church in Neenah. Carita and Bob were married for 43 years.  After getting married, they built their lake home in the Town of Neenah where Carita resided until 2020.  Bob preceded her in death March 23, 1998.

Carita was the Deputy Clerk and Deputy Treasure for the Town of Neenah for 51 years.  People loved to stop at their home to pay their taxes as there was always coffee, cookies and great conversation. Whether it was 7 a.m. or 7 p.m., they were always welcomed.

Carita had an amazing group of close friends.  Many of them spent time playing poker, bowling, golfing, going out to eat and socializing.  She loved celebrating her friends with frequent parties at the lake house.  Her calendar was always full.  Carita was very proud of her family and had a huge heart.  She loved being a cheerleader during her children's busy youth which continued with her grandkids and most recently her favorite great-grandkids.

Carita is survived by her daughter Lori (Rich Batley) and her son Todd Williams.  She is further survived by her grandson Ryan (Megan Batley) and their children, Rowan and Del, her granddaughter Jaclyn Batley (Dan Meidl) and her step-grandson Corey Batley, and his children, Una and Elin and her step-granddaughter Rebecca Batley, and her children, Logan and Grayson.

Carita was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and grandson Cameron Batley.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday March 7, 2022 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 407 Oak St., Neenah with Rev. Tony McKenzie officiating.  Friends will be received Monday morning at the church beginning at 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. A Celebration of Life and luncheon will follow at Bridgewood Resort Hotel in Neenah.  Carita will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to Trinity Lutheran Church, Neenah or the Town of Neenah Fire Department.
