SHERRY WISMANS

March 23, 1964 - June 30, 2025

Obituary

Our beloved Sherry Ann Wismans, age 61, left our world on Monday June 30th, 2025. She was born to Nelson and Dolly Edge on March 23rd, 1964 in Madison, WI.  After her younger brother Michael was born, the family moved to Neenah, WI. In Neenah, Sherry would go on to build a life full of joy, family, community, and spirit.

Sherry married the love of her life, James Wismans, on September 26th 1987.  During this time, she began to cultivate her path as a healer, beginning her work as a chiropractic assistant.  She also gave birth to two sons, Joshua and Nickolas Wismans, who couldn't be more grateful to have a mother who taught them how to find fulfillment and happiness.

Destiny Massage would be founded by Sherry years later.  Taking her journey as a healer into her own hands, she gave her life to helping her community cultivate health.  This spirit was brought to every endeavor and relationship in her life.  Sherry took joy in bringing joy.

Jim and Sherry always loved their time in nature together.  Whether on the banks of Lake Michigan, the forests of northern Wisconsin, or the harbors of Lake Winnebago, they always brought fun and friends together in a way that made everyone feel like the center of the universe.  Always at their side was a small ornery dog.

Sherry was also a proud grandmother to Rooney and Louis, daughter and son of Nickolas and his wife Rileigh.  Joshua and Emma Reynolds are also engaged, comforted by the memory of Sherry, knowing that she'll be there with them when they commit themselves to each other.

Sherry is survived by her husband James, her son Joshua, her son Nickolas and his wife Rileigh, her grandchildren Rooney and Louis, her mother Dolly, and her brother Michael.

The celebration of life will be held at The Dome on Saturday, October 4th at 3:00 pm.  The family hopes to honor her the way she would want, with laughter and joy.

I am heartbroken over the loss of your mother/wife/daughter. Sherry was a wonderful woman, with an uplifting energy and spirit. She did bring joy to everyone that she met and served. The obituary was a wonderful tribute to a one of kind woman--hard to write, I imagine, but could not be more fitting. I will be thinking of you and your family in the days ahead. Hoping her spirit and the memories of her, continue to bring some joy even in the hard moments. Sending love and light your way, Dr. Kim Trader

We are so shocked to learn of Sherries passing. She was always so compassionate, caring, and helpful for any of our emotional & chiropractic needs. A good rub down & helpful suggestions got us on our way. Our hearts go out to her family with many tears and sadness. Roger & Kathie Kerkhoff
