WILLIAM BUSS

 William Edward Buss (aka “Papa”, “Dad”, “Uncle Bill”) age 82, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2025, at CopperStone Assisted Living in Neenah, Wisconsin. The family would like to thank all the caring staff there as well as everyone from Heartland Hospice, and Westgor Funeral Home for taking such great care of Bill.

Bill was born in Neenah, WI on February 21, 1943. He attended Neenah public schools. Upon graduation, he served in the Army Reserves before beginning a 30-year career as a letter carrier with the U.S. Postal Service.

Bill was many things to many people including husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Buss (Meyer), his sons; Rick (Katey) Buss and Dan (Kelly) Buss, and his four grandsons; Darik, Connor, Ryan, and Keaton. He is also survived by his siblings, Carol, Joan, and Susan along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother Marion Buss (Larson), his father William, and his brother Robert.

Bill found joy in the simple pleasures of life- watching The Game Show Network, bowling, golfing, playing cards, and casting a line while fishing at his favorite place, the family cottage on Post Lake. Above all, his greatest joy in life was being Papa to Darik, Connor, Ryan, and Keaton.

Per Bill's wishes; he will be cremated, and there will be no formal funeral service. A celebration of his life with family and friends will be held at a later date TBD.
