DOLORES SMITH

Dolores C. Smith, of Menasha, age 92, passed away Saturday, March 28, 2015, at Oakridge Gardens Nursing Center. She was born May 14, 1922 in Wittenberg, WI, daughter of the late Charles and Ida (Lindsten) Carlson. Dolores came to the Neenah/Menasha area in 1940. She graduated from Menasha High School in 1941. Dolores married Willard E. Smith on June 11, 1949 in Oshkosh. He preceded her in death on July 15, 2002. Dolores worked from Kimberly Clark for 7 years and then was the Treasurer of Badger Globe and Neenah Papers Credit Unions for 38 years until her retirement in 1987. She was a volunteer at Theda Clark Medical Center and Vallhaven Nursing Home. Dolores attended Calvary Bible Church and was very active in the Neenah/Menasha Christian Women's Club. Survivors include her son, Robert (Esther) Smith, Pewaukee, WI; and two grandchildren: Joel (Emma) Smith, Jordan (Jennifer) Smith; and numerous nieces and nephews plus great nephews. Dolores was preceded in death by a sister, Inez Hansen; three brothers: Clifford, Donald and Phillip Carlson; and two sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 4, 2015, at Neenah's Westgor Funeral Home with Rev. Rick Ribble officiating. The visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the hour of service. Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Park in Oshkosh. In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established in her name.
