Obituary

Rosalie T. DeWolf, age 91, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at the Valley VNA in Neenah. She was born June 15, 1932, in Calumet County at Gramma Dorn's farm house, daughter of the Harold and Rita I(Dorn) Olson.

Rosie moved to Neenah in 1933 and graduated from Neenah High School with the class of 1950. It was there she met James DeWolf and they were married on September 10, 1955, at St. Patrick's Parish in Menasha. He preceded her in death on October 22, 2000. Rosie was a stay-at-home mom with their 6 children. She leaves behind many cousins, friends and bridge buddies.

Survivors include her six children: Ellen (Charles) Boldt, Patrick (Diana) DeWolf, Michael DeWolf, Thomas DeWolf, John DeWolf, Peter (Pamela) DeWolf; ten grandchildren: Annette (Benjamin) Hultman, Alyson (Kurt) Bushman, Alicia (Tyler) Anton, Lisa (Josh) Bittner, Adam (Amanda) DeWolf, Ben (Ashley) DeWolf, Branden (Kristin) DeWolf, Brianne (Jeremy) Schaewe, Christopher DeWolf, Kaitlyn DeWolf; 13 great-grandchildren; two sisters: Joyce Lund, Barbara Lauger; and a brother, James (Frances) Olson.

Rosie was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Olson; three brothers-in-law: Robert Lund, Michael Lauger, and Neil DeWolf.

The Mass of Resurrection will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, March 21, 2024, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 320 Nicolet Blvd, Menasha, with Fr. Judah Pigon officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:00 AM until the hour of Mass. Interment will be in St. Margaret's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established.

The family would like to thank the staff of the Valley VNA and Compassus Hospice for all their wonderful care of Rosie.

So sorry to read about Rosie! She was such a sweet person. She helped in the office at St. Bernard, Appleton, when I worked there -- and helped me out with knitting dishcloths (which were taking me forever!) and she had them all knitted in just a few days!! With talking we found out that my mother-in-law was her nurse in the Newborn Nursery at Theda Clark when John (?) was born. May God welcome her home and give you all the strength needed in the days ahead! God bless!
