JULIE BORCHARDT

Julie A. Borchardt, age 43, of Neenah passed away early Saturday morning, April 26, 2014 at her home. She was born on February 26, 1971 in Anaheim, CA, daughter of Damon and Barbara (Strahler) Skinner. On May 30, 1998 she married Brian Borchardt in Laguna Beach, CA; the marriage was blessed with one son, Gavin, and two daughters, Lauren and Grace. Julie was employed by the Neenah Joint School District as a Nurse's Health Assistant at Tullar Elementary School. She was very active in her community and her church. She was the Vice President of the P.T.O. at Wilson Elementary, a Daisies Troop Leader, a childcare coordinator at the YMCA, and a member of St. Margaret Mary Parish in Neenah. Julie enjoyed scrapbooking, she was an excellent cook, and loved animals. Julie's greatest joy was her family. She loved her husband, and loved her kids to no end. Her smile could light up a room, and her laugh will be forever remembered by those who loved her. She will be sadly missed by her husband, Brian; her children: Gavin, Lauren, and Grace, at home; her parents: Damon and Barbara Skinner, Fremont, CA; parents-in-law: Darna (Chuck) Johnson, Brillion, Lee (Cheryl) Borchardt, Palisade, CO; grandmother, Georgette Strahler, Laguna Woods, CA; her sister, Holly Skinner, Fremont, CA; brother-in-law, Jeffrey Underhill, Providence, RI; sisters-in-law: Sheri (Franky) Viacava, Miami Beach, FL, Terri (Dennis) Martin, Wauwatosa, Kristin (Tim) Johnson, Castle Rock, CO, Michele (Nick) De Jardin, Champion, WI, Karen (Bret) Pemble, Combined Locks, Vickie Johnson, Little Chute; uncles and aunts: John (Carolyn) Strahler, Santa Barbara, CA, Ken (Mary) Strahler, Murietta, CA; Joan (Tim) Mori, Trabuco Canyon, CA; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Earle and Bertha Skinner, and Arthur Strahler. The Memorial Mass for Julie will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 1, 2014 at St. Margaret Mary Parish (439 Washington Ave., Neenah) with Rev. Michael Ingold officiating. Friends will be received on Wednesday, April 30 from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Neenah's Westgor Funeral Home and will continue on Thursday directly at the church from 4:00 p.m. until the hour of Mass. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established to further the education of her beloved children. Our family would like to thank the Wilson P.T.O. and staff for all of your care and support, and Julie's dear friend Michelle Perry and family for your care and compassion.
