FREHLEY GILMORE

Frehley June Gilmore, age 12, received her wings Sunday Aug 3rd, as she passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family, after a very courageous battle with cancer. She will be deeply missed by all those who she touched with her one-of-a-kind spirit! She was born July 12th, 2002. She is survived by her parents, Andrew and Lisa (VanderVelden) Gilmore, Big brother Eli Gilmore, and her beloved Guinea Pig Toby. Frehley, a student at Clovis Grove Elementary, and Maplewood Middle school in Menasha, blessed the world she lived in with her spunky and creative attitude. Always the friend to give a smile, a hug, or some off the wall comment to make you smile. Her hobbies included, playing with Toby, playing the drums(and cowbell), tinkering with Dad's tools, making all sorts of creative things, and general horseplay of a young girl. She very much enjoyed the year she was able to spend in the Boy's and Girl's Brigade program, including 2 weekends at Camp Onaway. Other surviving family include: Grandparents: Robert and Mary (St.Peter) Gilmore, John VanderVelden and Chera Heitpas. Aunts, Uncles and Cousins: Bill and Sara (VanderVelden) Vogels (Mallory & Morgan), Jeff and Amy (VanderVelden) Kolasinski (Jackson & Mason), David and Beth VanderVelden (Savannah & Walter), Jeff and Barb Gilmore (Jen & Chris), Kalie Blaser (Jonathan), Deanna Olk (Jordan), Erica Osegard (Maddie & Emma), Jeremy Olk and Kari Dewitt. Frehley was preceded in death by her step-grandmother, Donna VanderVelden. The funeral service for Frehley will be held at 7:00 PM on Thursday, August 7, 2014, at Menasha's Westgor Funeral Home. The visitation will be held at the funeral home from 4:00 PM until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers a memorial scholarship will be established with the Boys' & Girls" Brigade in Frehley's name. A special mention of the "Fantastic 5", Kate, Lauren, Sophie, Alex & Halle. Five fantastic friends who made Frehley's last few months as normal and comfortable as they could be. You girls are amazing!! To Frehley's "Big Sisters" Shelby and Lauren Day.
