Obituary

Victor Turoski, of Neenah, age 75, died unexpectedly while visiting Wyoming Valley, PA, on June 18, 2015. Victor was born in Kingston, PA; son of the late Stanley Turoski and Helen Zonko. He was a graduate of West Wyoming High School and Wilkes College with a degree in biology. Victor pursued a career in analytical chemistry at both Carter Wallace and the American Can Company; he retired as an analytical chemist from James River Corporation in Neenah. He was a member and former treasurer of the American Chemical Society and active in their Environmental Chemistry Division, author of various published articles in the field of environmental chemistry, editor of two chemistry books and the owner of two U.S. Patents. He was a 32 degree Mason of the Heightstown, New Jersey lodge. He enjoyed playing piano and teaching bible classes at St. Margaret Mary Parish, Neenah, where he was a member. He will be deeply missed by his wife, the former Julianna Matusavage, formerly of Swoyersville, PA; children: Julianna Darnell, husband Ron of Arizona, Christopher, wife Jessica of Minnesota, Nicholas, wife Linda of South Carolina. He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren: Julianna Darnell, Francis Turoski, Evan and Dominick Turoski; sisters-in-law Barbara and husband, Thomas Howell, Swoyersville, PA, Paulette and husband, Thomas Kaminskas, Stoughton, MA and cousin, Evelyn Gibbons of Exeter, PA as well as many nieces and nephews, cousins and dear friends. A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, July 17, 11:00 AM, at St. Margaret Mary Parish, Neenah, with Fr. Michael Ingold officiating. Friends may share condolences at the church from 10:00 AM until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Victor's name or contributions may be made to the Epilepsy Foundation of Minnesota, Inc., 1600 University Ave. W., Suite 300, St. Paul, MN 55104.
