MICHAEL PARSONS

Michael James Parsons, age 44, of Neenah, died Thursday, July 23, 2015 at Cherry Meadows Hospice Care Center surrounded by his family after a long, courageous battle with cancer. He was born July 25, 1970, in Marquette, MI, to Carolyn (Leahy) and James Parsons. On May 15, 1999, he married Linda Hilber at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Appleton, WI. He enjoyed spending time with his family, loved animals, reading, cooking (especially family recipes) and watching sports. He was an avid fan of his Detroit teams (Lions, Pistons, Red Wings and Tigers). Mike was a dedicated and loving father to his children. He was a caring and loving son, husband, father, brother and uncle, who will be missed by many. Survivors include his wife Linda; children: Arianna, Colton, Chance; his parents: Carolyn Ragusett, James (Sandra) Parsons; sister Janel Albrecht (Mike Broehm) and nephew Tyler; brother Samuel (Melissa) Parsons; sister Sara Jane Parsons; sister-in-law Helen Hilber; brother-in-law Mike (Kathy) Hilber and nephew Michael John (Kellie); many aunts, uncles and cousins; along with many pets. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Michael and Dorothy Leahy; his paternal grandparents, James and Bernice Parsons; his mother-in-law, Marlyn "Mert" Hilber; and many pets. A memorial service for Mike will be held Thursday, July 30, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Neenah's Westgor Funeral Home with Cindy Beauchamp officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established for his family. The family would like to thank the nurses in the ICU at Theda Clark Medical Center and the wonderful, caring and compassionate staff at Cherry Meadows Hospice Care Center.
