DOROTHY BOEHM

Dorothy E. (Lambert) Boehm, age 96, of Neenah passed away on Monday, August 8, 2016 at Theda Clark.  She was a lifelong resident of Neenah.  Dorothy was born on December 18, 1919 to the late Clara (Angermeyer) Lambert Cottrell and Lawrence M. Lambert.  She married State W. Boehm in 1940.  They enjoyed 53 years of marriage until he passed away on December 15, 1993.

Dorothy worked for many years in retail sales.  The bridal and dress departments were her special love.  She had many fond memories of time spent at Pranges in downtown Appleton.  She was a beautiful seamstress and spent many hours sewing for others, including childrens' clothing for the church giving.  All of her grandchildren and great grandchildren have her special mink teddy bears.  Her other great love was spending summers at her cottage on Pine Lake at Hiles, WI, with her family and friends.  She loved the trees and the peace of the north woods.  Dorothy was a member of the First Presbyterian Church where she was active in their sewing and knitting groups.  She was also a member of the Theda Clark Auxiliary.

Dorothy is survived by her son, Mark (Karen) Boehm, Winneconne; her daughter, Karen (Dave) Thomsen, Neenah; her grandchildren: Mark Thomsen, Waupaca; Ted (Amber) Thomsen, Sarasota, FL; John (Therese) Thomsen, Waukesha; her great grandchildren: Thomas, Lauren, Ella, Jake, Megan, and Keelan Thomsen, and Dylan Stone; her sister-in-law, Midge Boehm; and many nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Panske; her brothers: Lawrence (Tunny) Lambert; Marvin Lambert; and grandson, Peter Thomsen.

A Memorial Service for Dorothy will be held on Monday, August 15, 2016 at First Presbyterian Church (200 Church St., Neenah) with Rev. Paul Huxtable officiating.  Friends will be received directly in the Parlor at the church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service.  She will be laid to rest beside her husband at Oak Hill Cemetery, Neenah.  In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to Valley VNA and First Presbyterian Church.
