DORIS GILBERT

Doris Margaret Gilbert, 76, died Thursday December 23, 2021, at the Alten Haus, Neenah. She was born August 11, 1945, in Neenah, daughter of the late, Orrin and Evelyn (Honberger) Collins. Doris married Victor Gilbert on September 25, 1965.

Doris worked 23 years at Banta Corp (RR Donnelley printing), retiring in 2004. She was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, where she volunteered, her time and many talents to several church groups and activities. Doris loved sewing, and gardening, she inherited that love of growing produce from her parents, who owned and operated Collins Produce Market in Neenah for many years. Doris and Vic enjoyed traveling. Taking yearly trips to see their daughter Stacy in Arizona, and son, Brian in Texas.

Doris is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Victor; their three children: daughter, Stacy (Christian) Mettelstadt, Glendale, AZ; two sons: Brad (Linda), Winchester, and Brian (Christiane), Frisco, TX; eight grandchildren; one great grandchild; sister, Jan (David) Hansen; and brother, Dick (Jan (Collins).

Funeral service for Doris will be 12:00 PM (noon) on Monday January 3, 2022, at ST. MARK'S LUTHERAN CHURCH, 140 S. Green Bay Rd, Neenah, with Rev. Robert Wilkinson officiating. Visitation will be held Monday morning at the church beginning at 10:30 AM until the 12:00 PM service. Burial will follow at Oakhill Cemetery.
