ESTELLE MOES

August 04, 1947 - December 10, 2023

Obituary

Estelle Moes, age 76 of Neenah, passed away early Sunday, December 10, 2023. She was born August 4, 1947 to the late Bernice and Walter Springer and grew up in the Milwaukee area. She was a devoted homemaker most of her life and cared for her children to the best of her ability. She also liked to take care of her family. She was the primary caregiver of her father and father-in-law until they found their home with Jesus. Estelle took pride in the work she did as a homemaker and caregiver.

Christmas was the most extravagant and favorite time of year for Estelle.  Her hobbies were sketching, crocheting, writing poetry, and seeing classic cars. She loved animals, especially her cream colored, Samoyed dog named Brandy, and her cockatiel named Taz. She liked to collect beanie babies, crystals, elephants, and angels. She also loved the Packers and music, including Elvis, Michael Jackson, Prince, Bon Jovi, Jennifer Lopez, Tim McGraw, Travis Tritt, and 70's music.

Estelle was a born-again Christian who entered into the arms of Jesus. She followed Billy Graham, Franklin Graham, and Bob Lenz. Her favorite Christian song was “Jesus Loves Me” and her favorite band was Casting Crowns.

Estelle enjoyed volunteering in many ways, such as helping hand out food at St. Joseph Food Pantry and running a Facebook group where she collected gently used items and gave them out to people in need. Volunteering really gave her a sense of purpose. She suffered many years with physical back pain, but even worse was her struggle with depression and anxiety. She was a big advocate for mental illness and was a kind, helpful, and resourceful person; a free spirit with a bit of a spunky nature in her younger years and in her final days. She spoke her mind and lived her life as she wanted, which was mostly helping and caring for others. She was complicated, but dearly loved by friends and family. May God bless her soul and may her memory be a blessing.

Estelle is survived by her daughters: Marie Mitter; Debra (Scott) Sonnleitner; and Margie (Randy) Lebrick; her grandchildren: Nicholas (Jessica) Johnson; Joshua (Cami) Johnson; Sabrina (Eddie) Johnson; Cassondra (Nick) Balk; Shawn Sonnleitner; Ty (Katelyn) Sonnleitner; Danielle; Ryan; and Nicole; her great-grandchildren: Shelby; Judah; Demitria; Layluh; Hunter; Zayden; Taliana; and a new baby boy due in June and a new baby girl due in March. She is further survived by her sisters: Marge Streeter and Ruthann Rabideau; and by her brothers: Michael Springer and John Springer. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Victor John Mitter, Jr.; and her brother, Walter Springer.

A memorial service for Estelle will be held in the spring on a date yet to be determined.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the family to help with final expenses.
