CHRISTOPHER THOMPSON

Christopher K. Thompson, age 63 of Kimberly, passed away suddenly early Thursday, February 8, 2024. He was born October 16, 1960 and spent all of his life living in the greater Appleton area.

Chris will be remembered as a gentle spirit with a loving and helpful heart. His favorite thing to do was to hang out with his family, but he was also a hard worker. Chris worked for many years as the manager of the wine and spirits department at Festival Foods in Darboy. He enjoyed the opportunities given to drive the giant Festival cart in parades and other special events. Chris also worked for different properties, taking care of apartment buildings, which he took pride in.

Chris is survived by his wife, Corrine; son, Tyler Thompson; step-son, David Trams; and grandson, Mavrick Thompson. He is further survived by his sisters: Theresa (Troy) Plocar, Sheboygan; Jacquelyn (Scott) Stevens, Indiana; Debbie Koolage, Colorado; in-laws: Linda (Joe) Aschauer, Neenah; and Barbara Bergner, Appleton; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many close friends, including Nick Roth. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ann Thompson; sisters: June Freyburg and Dawn (Keith) La Mee; in-laws: Curtis and Patricia Trams; brothers-in-law: Leonard Trams; Duane (Dawn) Trams; and Pat Bergner; and nephew, Jonny Trams.

A celebration of Chris' life will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, April 5, 2024 at New Hope Lutheran Church, 1850 American Dr., Neenah with Rev. Gregory Hintz officiating. A visitation will be held from 9:30 A.M. until the hour of service.
