DAVID ENZ

February 17, 1967 - April 20, 2024

Obituary

David Enz, 57, of Neenah WI, entered eternal life on Saturday April 20, 2024, after enjoying one last sunrise over Lake Winnebago with his family.

Dave was born in Tacoma, Washington, and was raised in Rhinelander, WI, where he graduated high school.  He went on to the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he formed lifelong friendships over wild game feasts.  He used his degree in Electrical Engineering throughout his career at Kimberly Clark over 31 years.

Dave defined life not as the height of the mountain you climb but the journey you take to get to the top.  Along the way Dave's journey was full of nature, love, and a fair amount of bullshit.

His passion for the outdoors was unmatched.  Fishing, hunting, and hiking were not just hobbies but chapters in his book of life, where every catch and trail was a story waiting to be told.  His family and friends, who shared in these adventures, knew the warmth of his camaraderie and the joy of his tales.

Faith, family, and friends were Dave's foundation in life.  A proud father of three boys, he reveled in their accomplishments and stood by through every challenge.  Through their athletic endeavors he became an avid Neenah High School Rockets sports supporter. He devoted countless hours giving back to the Neenah community in church, announcing athletics, and lending a helping hand for anyone in need.  Dave showed a constant love and devotion to his wife that transcended the trials and tribulations they endured in the last 13 months.

Dave was preceded in death by his Grandparents Dan and Lorraine Enz, Edward and Genevieve Kubiak. Dave is survived by Carrie Raeth (wife), Jonathan, Jacob, Colin Enz (son's), John and Arlene Enz (parents), Daniel Enz (brother), Alissa Devos (sister).

A visitation will be held Saturday, April 27th, from 1-3 pm at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 1140 Tullar Rd., Neenah, followed by a memorial service.

In lieu of flowers the family hopes you will consider donating to the David Enz Memorial Scholarship endowment fund

Dave was a kind, generous & funny man.  Always fun to be around.  I always enjoyed hearing his hunting & especially his fishing stories [and I think a few 'fishy' tales too]! I will remember Dave for his caring soul and good nature.  He was too young to be leaving us, but God works in mysterious ways that we cannot always understand. "Sweet are the memories
silently kept
of a friend you so liked and will never forget ... RIP my friend."   MAZ

It is so hard to understand how such a caring, helpful and smart person should be taken from us so soon. Deepest sympathies John and Arlene, Dan and Alissa. Dave will be greatly missed.
