AUDREY VANDE LOGT

Audrey Vande Logt age 94 passed away peacefully on May 7, 2024 at the Veterans Home in King, WI in the presence of her family. She was born in Fort Dodge, IA and later moved to Wisconsin where she married the love of her life Anthony Vande Logt on September 8, 1951 in DePere. Over the next 8 years they had four children.

Her main focus for many years was her family. We were able to spend her last couple weeks reminiscing about all the wonderful things she did for us. She made our home the neighborhood hangout. She not only took her children but half the neighborhood roller skating, swimming and to many other activities in the area.

Audrey also spent 17 years as a Nurses Aid at Oakridge Gardens caring for the elderly.  She always joked that she learned a lot from the residents she cared for and would be ready to make things interesting when it was her turn.

Over the last 8 years Audrey's greatest enjoyment was going to Elvis impersonator shows with her daughters. We would attend shows throughout Wisconsin and most recently locally. Audrey enjoyed dancing at the shows and had the stamina to outlast most of us. She also enjoyed listening to a variety of live music, working in her yard, riding in the side by side with her son, sitting on the front porch waving at cars going by.

Audrey is preceded in death by her husband Anthony ”Red” Vande Logt who passed on March 16, 1995. Red has waited patiently for 29 years for her to join him. Her son-in-law Ronald Kunda recently passed on April 8, 2024. She is also preceded by her parents, in-laws and siblings; Johnny, Julian, Cyrus and Beverly.

She is survived by her children Linda Kunda, Sandy (Rod) Fredrickson, Brenda Vande Logt and Kevin Vande Logt.  Her grandchildren Anthony (Katie) Kunda and Quinn (fiance Brooke and her daughter Adyline) Fredrickson and great grandchildren Ainsley, Kiera and Kodah as well as many nieces and nephews. She was especially close to her grandson's Tony and Quinn and the Vande Walle children. 

The family would like to thank the staff at Ainsworth Hall 1 in King's Veterans Home and Heartland Hospice. These individuals were compassionate caregivers who worked hard to connect and develop trust with those they cared for and their families. A special thank you to her grandson Quinn for his timeless devotion and care. 

Mom, Grandma and Great Grandma will be greatly missed by her family. Audrey touched many lives in her 94 years and will also be missed by those who had the opportunity to meet her.

In accordance to her wishes a private memorial and burial will take place at a later date.
