Art was a special kind of man, more willing than others to pass along his knowledge, often carried by a dash of wit and humor. I will always treasure the times we strolled around during port visits.

My sincere condolences to Art's family. I was fortunate to serve with Art in the US Navy with VAQ138 aboard the USS Nimitz. His quick wit, humor and positivity made a difference for all who knew him during those long deployments. Fair Winds and Following Seas Art.

I am truly sorry for your many misfortune’s but so proud of you for handling them the best way you could! You made the best of what you had kiddo and there’s no reason to apologize to anyone or anything else negative. you lived life to the fullest and enjoyed it along the way. We all make mistakes were human! I’m sorry it was cut so short! I’ll try to make it up in the life I have left. Godspeed brother, rest in peace! I love you more than you know! Art was a great cousin. Very intelligent guy. He showed us around Oak Harbor and Penn Cove Washington when we visited in 2018 and I'm glad he was able to live in such a beautiful part of the country. It was a far cry from the City of Chicago where we grew up. God bless those of us who will miss him

Tom was a man who was dedicated to knowledge and excellence. I'll never forget back in 2010 how I created an online business and paid to have a website created. Tom reached out to me and told me how it could be improved. He was pretty diplomatic, because I was given a website that was built by incompetent people and Tom instantly saw all the mistakes and helped me figure it out. Thanks to him, my future online endeavors went much better!
