I just heard about Carla’s passing, and you have my sincerest condolences for your loss.  I knew her when she worked in the warehouse at School Specialty.  She cross-trained me in the packing area, but I also learned about taking pride in one’s work by her example.  Without fail, she would come in early, tidy up and stock her bench for the day before her shift even started.  If I missed or forgot something she wouldn’t criticize, but instead gently corrected me, and would be genuinely happy when I “got” what she had taught me, which has stayed with me to this day.  She was always smiling, and loved talking about her family, of which she was very proud.  I feel truly honored to have known and worked with her.
