Carol—Mrs. Shimek—made the cake for my wedding. Her frosting wasn't so sweet. I had asked for yellow roses as the decoration. Because I had a dream they would be pink, she made one pink one and gave it to me in a box for a laugh. She was such a nice lady. I originally knew her from Grace in Neenah; we both eventually ended up together at Trinity.
