ROSALIE BREITENFELDT

Rosalie M. Breitenfeldt, age 86, was called home to the Lord on Thursday, December 5, 2024.  She was born on March 29, and resided in Neenah. Rosalie graduated from New London High School. She went on to marry her adoring husband, Carmen, on May 25, 1957, and celebrated 60 years of marriage.  Rosalie worked as a physical therapist assistant at Theda Clark Memorial Hospital for many years until her retirement.  

Rosalie always had a strong faith throughout her life.  She was baptized and confirmed at Emanuel Lutheran Church in New London. Rosalie also became a lifelong member at Trinity Lutheran Church in Neenah.  While Carmen coached the girls' basketball team for many years, Rosalie loved supporting him and their daughters, as well as the many girls he coached. Many lifelong relationships were established throughout the years, anyone was welcome at their home. Rosalie was known by many names, but she was known as Nana to her grandson and Rosie to her friends.  Rosalie loved going to their cottage in the summer and fall, as well as spending time on their land. She loved their many family labrador dogs as well as all dogs in general and traveling south with Carmen to visit with friends.  Rosalie was loved dearly by her family and will be missed greatly.

She is survived by her daughters Karla (David) Schmidt and Ruth Breitenfeldt and grandson Hunter (Alyxandria) Schmidt.  She was preceded in death by her infant son Cullen Breitenfeldt and loving husband, Carmen. 

A visitation will be held on Friday December 20 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 407 Oak Street, Neenah.  A Christian Funeral Services to immediately follow with Pastor Tony L. McKenzie officiating.  In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.

Rosalie's family would like to give special thanks to Pastor Tony McKenzie for all his spiritual support throughout Mom's life and final days at St. Elizabeth Hospital.
